Submit the Deposit
The $300 deposit holds your place as an incoming student.
Accepted Student Open House
Join us on either Saturday April 7 or Saturday April 14 for one of our Accepted Student Open Houses! This is the perfect time to come meet potential classmates, speak with professors, learn more about clubs and organizations, and tour the campus.
Submit the FAFSA as soon as possible! Find more information about the FAFSA and how to complete this step.

Alfred University is hosting several off-campus evening receptions for our accepted students
and their parents. AU staff and alumni will be traveling to Albany, Buffalo, Long Island, Rochester, and Syracuse.

We invite you to talk with one of our most valuable resources- other parents! This private Facebook
group is the perfect venue to voice questions or concerns and, most importantly, get answers! This group provides easy access to a wealth of information outside of "typical" work hours.
Deposited Student Checklist
Campus Email Address
All students have access to the University's computer network and receive an Alfred University email account. The first step after depositing is to set-up your campus email account. All AU communications will be sent to your new student email address.
Residence Life & Housing
Alfred University offers students several distinct living styles and communities (First Year, comprised of only First Year students; Mixed class, comprised of all class years; and Upper class, comprised of Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors). All residence halls are co-ed, either by floor or by room/suite/apartment (same gender in room). Bathrooms are designated male or female.
Alfred University has a Health & Wellness Center right on campus. Learn more about the required Health Forms, Health Insurance, and Immunizations needed before enrolling as a student.
Orientation is a time for you to get to know your classmates and the campus. We have special programs and activities that will bring you up to speed both socially and academically. Learn more about our Summer Orientation.
Course Registration & AP/College Credit
You will receive a registration packet in the mail from the Registrar’s office along with information from your Dean’s office with instructions on signing up for classes. If you’ve taken AP courses or earned college credits, please request to have official score reports and transcripts sent to the Registrar’s office in order for courses to be evaluated for credit.
